The Wiltshire Rug
The Wiltshire Rug
This Archibald Knox design uses striking longitudinal symmetry to create a central focus for the room while retaining primary design interest on the periphery. A warm chestnut ground with spruce green, celery, burnt umber, and light blue accents.
These wonderful Arts and Crafts collection rugs are hand knotted in India using 100% wool imported from New Zealand. These carpets blend seamlessly with both English and American Arts & Crafts décor from Morris and Knox to Gustav Stickley and Frank Lloyd Wright.
Production Process: All of our carpets are hand knotted in Northern India on upright wooden looms reflecting a handcraft techniques dating back more than a 1000 years. The foundation of all our carpets is the warp and weft which are placed at right angles to each other providing a substantial grid foundation into which the wool yarn is knotted.
