The Fintona Rug
The Fintona Rug
Originally Displayed at Grafton Gallery during London's Liberty Exhibitions in 1903, this carpet design artfully depicts the boughs of the giant hemlock in rich umbered reds, burnt sienna, camel, medium blue and blue gray on a ivory background.
These wonderful Arts and Crafts collection rugs are hand knotted in India using 100% wool imported from New Zealand. These carpets blend seamlessly with both English and American Arts & Crafts décor from Morris and Knox to Gustav Stickley and Frank Lloyd Wright.
Production Process: All of our carpets are hand knotted in Northern India on upright wooden looms reflecting a handcraft techniques dating back more than a 1000 years. The foundation of all our carpets is the warp and weft which are placed at right angles to each other providing a substantial grid foundation into which the wool yarn is knotted.
